  • These bookings take place rain or shine (unless a prearranged weather watch is in place) however in the event of extreme conditions where safety could be an issue we will contact you to advise and reschedule.

**If for any reason you need to reschedule or cancel we would appreciate if you could give us at least 48 hours notice to enable us to allocate the time slot to someone else, otherwise a refund is at our discretion.  If payment has not yet been made, this amount is still owing.

ARS LEVEL 1 & LEVEL 2 >

These details are sent in your confirmation email also.

  • These courses involve road riding—you must be confident enough to ride amongst traffic on sealed tarmac roads. Ornsby ARS courses are not ‘Learn-to-ride’ or ‘Licensing’ training. If you are a beginner rider—please see our Motorcycle Licensing courses.
  • You are required to wear suitable protective gear (minimum: full-face helmet / gloves / motorcycle-specific jacket and pants (with armour) / boots)—instructors may refuse training to riders who are not properly attired.
  • Your bike is required to have both a current Warrant of Fitness and be Road Registered.  Please also ensure that you give your bike a good check over prior to the day (fluid levels etc) and make sure you arrive with a full tank of gas. Instructors WILL refuse training to riders who turn up to a course on a motorcycle without a current WOF and/or Registration or is not deemed safe.
  • You must bring your current Driver’s Licence. Instructors WILL refuse training to riders who turn up to a course without a current Driver’s Licence.
  • If you are currently on a Learner Licence (6L) you are required by Law to have an L-Plate fitted to your motorcycle.  Instructors WILL refuse training to riders who turn up with a current Learner’s Licence without an affixed L-Plate on their motorcycle.
  • If you hold a Learner (6L) or Restricted (6R) Licence, you must be riding a LAMS approved bike.
  • Please bring water and snacks (e.g. muesli bars, nuts). Lunch will be taken during the on-road group ride at a cafe at your cost.
  • Except in the event of extreme weather (where we will contact you to reschedule), Ornsby ARS courses are not weather dependent. Rain or sun, we’re riding. If it is wet, please bring your wet weather gear.
  • If you cannot attend the course, let us know 24 hours in advance and we will reschedule you at no cost. If you ‘no show’ or arrive for the course and are sent away due to not complying with the above, you will not receive a refund.
  • All care will be taken to ensure course participants’ safety.  The sport of motorcycling however has inherent risks and riding on loose surfaces has a greater risk of loss of control and your bike being damaged.  Should this occur, you will not be left stranded but it is recommended that you have a plan in place to recover your bike if necessary.
  • There may be locations during the day where there is no cell phone coverage.  Your instructors are trained in first aid, carry first aid kits and emergency locator beacons.

**If for any reason you need to reschedule or cancel we would appreciate if you could give us at least 48 hours notice to enable us to allocate the time slot to someone else, otherwise you will be charged 100% of the service fee.
