ADVANCED MOTORBIKE TRAINING: PROFESSIONAL ROAD, TRACK & CORNERING COURSES IN TIMARU AND CHRISTCHURCH
The most common misconception is that track days are for sports bikes, going fast and getting your knee down. If that’s your thing, great! We can certainly cater for you. That said, Ornsby Road, Track & Cornering School (Ornsby RTC) courses are aimed more at road than track skills (Road Based Training on the track). Our experienced motorcycle instructors welcome riders of all levels and abilities and bikes of all shapes and sizes. From those keen to try our popular novice track days, to even the most experienced enthusiasts, our track is for everybody!
Ornsby RTC has two options for ‘Track Based Training’: A half day (4 hour) Cornering School & a full day Track Day. If you are after ‘Race specific’ training, we may be able to accommodate you on our full day course, however Race Training is normally conducted as a one on one session utilising Friday Test Days. If you’re after Race Training please give us a call to discuss before booking. If you simply want to hit the track and prove how good you are, our days are not for you.
Our newly structured ‘Full Day’ RTC track day will run 3 groups to cater for a wider range of riders, (A – Experienced, B – Intermediate & C – Novice) with a maximum of 15 riders per group. RTC Cornering School will continue to run with a maximum of 6 students and is focused more on Novice to Intermediate level riders, with reduced speeds.
An Ornsby RTC track course will improve your bike control and confidence no question, and we guarantee you will have a heap of fun along the way! The track offers the perfect environment in which to hone and practice skills without the distractions and hazards (like car drivers or bad road surfaces) you can simply focus on applying what you have been taught. Become one with your bike and learn to work together in harmony. Our days are structured in a way where we dissect different aspects of bike control for better understanding, and as a result a smoother, more precise ride.
