Choose from our range of training options, or contact us to customise a training package to suit your needs.  We can take you through each of the licence stages from start to finish.

STEP ONE

Dan Ornsby Motorcycle TeamNZTA Basic Handling Test
1, 1 ½  or 2 hour sessions for basic handling test, or training if required to prepare for the test, depending on level of experience or confidence on a bike.  There is no guarantee that you will pass this test in your allocated time slot.  But our aim is to get you there while building the skills you need for riding on the road.  Can be completed most days of the week depending on availability.

STEP TWO

Once you have passed your Basic Handling Skills Test you will need to book in at the AA or VTNZ to complete your Theory Test.  This is a 35 multi choice test.  25 are general road code questions and 10 motorcycle specific.

STEP THREE

Dan Ornsby - Owner Operator

CBTA Restricted Licence Assessment
Once you have obtained your Learner Licence we can progress to your Restricted Licence through the CBTA process.  (click here for details and pricing)

Dan is our CBTA Assessor and also conducts Advanced Riding Assessments for ‘I Endorsed’ Instructors wanting to gain this qualification.

STEP FOUR

CCBTA Assessment with Dan OrnsbyBTA Full Licence Assessment
This can be completed any time after obtaining the Restricted Licence and can reduce the time spent on your Restricted from 18 to 12 months.

Please note: You cannot apply for your Full licence at a licensing agency until you have held your 6R (Restricted Licence) for 12 months. We recommend therefore, sitting this assessment closer to that time.
